Welcome to ‘Hole Load Of Trouble’.
The website was originally set up to keep people informed about the activities of our ‘Hole Load Of Trouble’ display that is based around our Fowler Steam Roller, Living Van and collection of ‘clutter’ that we have been storing in the back of various sheds for a few years. It was decided that it may be a good idea to display said junk at a show or two, and now after a bit of time we are finding that our presence is being requested here, there and everywhere.

You will find a lot of the content that is written here is very tongue in cheek and at times near the mark, but when all is said and done, it’s a hobby and what’s the point in having a hobby if you don’t get a smile out of it? It is worth pointing out though that I am no expert on steam engines etc, I am just an enthusiast who is lucky enough to own an engine. Just because I do things my way doesn’t mean it the correct or for that matter the wrong way.
As I felt it a little irksome to just write about one engine and its exploits I am also using this site to put online for the world to see a my collection of photographs that spam several decades of steam rallies and events. Where possible I will give as many details as I can scrape together. I hope that in time it will serve as a useful reference point to see what engines have looked like throughout the preservation period.

Another side to the site is to offer simple guides to what engines are all about as I am aware that not everyone knows what differing engines are used for and so forth. The description will remain simple but more detail can be found all over the various pages by clicking on anything that is coloured orange.
So that is what it is all about. Different things are usually added on a daily basis, and can be viewed in the ‘Updates’ section. The rest as I say is self explanatory on the menu to the left. Best thing to do is go explore and see what you can find. I hope you enjoy the effort put into bringing this site to life, feel free to comment or indeed contribute to it if you feel you have a story to tell or can add information.
Thanks for your time and, well basically pull up a chair, crack open a beer and see what you can find.
